Roßwein liegt im Herzen Sachsens, in einer landschaftlich sehr schönen Umgebung und wurde 1220 erstmals erwähnt.
Wirtschaftliche Bedeutung erlangte das Muldenstädtchen um 1400 durch die Entwicklung von Handwerk und Gewerbe; vor allem Tuchmacher, Wollweber, Schuhmacher, Fleischer und Bäcker.
Tradition ist das Roßweiner Schul- und Heimatfest, welches 1837 erstmals stattfand.
Die Kleinstadt bietet einige markante Sehenswürdigkeiten, die ihr mit diesem Adventure etwas näher kennenlernt.
