Das Melanchthonhaus ist seit seiner Erbauung im 16. Jahrhundert praktisch unverändert geblieben. Kurfürst Johann Friedrich ließ es 1536 für Philipp Melanchthon errichten. Er schenkte dem Griechisch-Professor das Gebäude, um den international begehrten Gelehrten an der Wittenberger Universität zu halten. Der Weggefährte Luthers lebte hier mit seiner Familie sowie zahlreichen Studenten unter einem Dach.

Melanchthon House with its distinctive gable is a Renaissance architectural gem in the old town. With its original appearance remaining virtually unchanged since it was erected in the 16th century, it still retains much of its original charm. It was built in 1536 by Elector John Frederick of Saxony for Martin Luther’s associate Philipp Melanchthon, a professor of Greek, in order to persuade this internationally renowned scholar to remain at the University of Wittenberg. In addition to Melanchthon and his family, the property was also inhabited by several students.

Die Lab-Caches dieses Adventure Lab führen zu ein paar Orten der Reformation hier in Wittenberg. Die Aufgaben sind einfach gehalten, damit sie auch von Touristen in knapper Zeit gut bewältigt werden können. Die insgesamt 5 Lab-Caches befinden sich auf dem Weg vom Lutherhaus zur Schlosskirche. Die Schreibweise der Lösungen entspricht der, wie ihr sie vor Ort vorfindet. Am Ende gibt es auch einen Bonuscache (GC8N2EG), denkt also an die Bonusinformationen. Alle Caches sind Rollstuhl geeignet und auch auf Englisch.

The lab-caches of this adventure lab lead to a few places of the Reformation here in Wittenberg. The tasks are kept simple so that they can be easily mastered by tourists in a short amount of time. The total of 5 lab-caches are on the way from the Lutherhouse to the castle church. The spelling of the solutions corresponds to how you find them on site. In the end there is also a bonus cache (GC8N2EG), so think about the bonus information. All caches are wheelchair accessible.
