Die Bibliothek der Dinge findet ihr hinter der Auskunft der Jugend- und Musikabteilung. Sie verbindet die beiden Bereiche, in dem es zum einen Gegenstände zum Spielen und Lernen, aber auch Instrumente zum Ausprobieren gibt. Dieser spezielle Art von Bibliothek wurde 2021 eröffnet und dient der Nachhaltigkeit, da man einige Dinge, wie zum Beispiel Werkzeug, vielleicht nur für einen kurzen Zeitraum benötigt und man so einen teuren Kauf umgeht. Auch für Cacher gibt es mittlerweile eine Angel oder ein GPS-Gerät zum Ausleihen. Schaut euch um und stöbert gern auch im Katalog, um zu sehen, was wir im Angebot haben.

You will find the Library of Things behind the information desk of the Youth and Music Library. It connects the two areas, where there are items for playing and learning as well as instruments to try out. This special type of library was opened in 2021 and serves the purpose of sustainability, as some things, such as tools, may only be needed for a short period of time, thus avoiding an expensive purchase. Mit dem Umbau des Kulturpalastes 2017 konnten die beiden zentralen städtischen Bibliotheken im Herzen der Stadt unter einem Dach zusammengeführt werden und bieten heute einen modernen Ort der Begegnung, des Austausches und Lernens. Mit dieser Lab Cache-Reihe führen wir euch durch das zweite Obergeschoss der Zentralbibliothek. Neben Büchern, CDs und Filmen haben wir jede Menge andere Angebote und hoffen, dass ihr vielleicht die ein oder andere Überraschung entdeckt, wie man seine Freizeit bei uns im Haus gestalten kann. Am besten startet ihr einen Rundgang an der Station "Wanderer mit Weitblick" und folgt den Labs im Uhrzeigersinn.

Die Adventure Labs sind im Rahmen des Geocaching Mega-Events GCAB00K entstanden. Bitte beachtet, dass die Stationen nur zu den Öffnungszeiten der Bibliothek gespielt werden können (Mo - Sa, jeweils 10 - 19 Uhr)

With the renovation of the Kulturpalast in 2017, the city's two central municipal libraries were combined under one roof, creating a modern space for encounter, exchanging ideas, and learning. This Lab Cache series will guide you through the second floor of the Central Library. In addition to books, CDs, and films, there is a lot more to explore and we hope you'll discover some surprising ways to spend your free time here. It is best to start your tour at the "Wanderer with view" station and follow the labs in a clockwise direction.
